Bureau of Labor Statistics data released today showed union membership in the United States grew by more than 273,000 in 2022, despite fierce and often illegal corporate union-busting.

This weekend, we are celebrating the great civil rights leader and our union brother. And we remember the lesson he always emphasized: The fight for civil rights and worker rights are intertwined.

Essential Frontline workers in Minnesota may be eligible for bonus pay.  During the last legislative session at the Capitol, monies were allocated for bonuses to essential frontline workers; including but not limited to child care, food service, schools, building services, and retail.

The Southeast Minnesota Area Labor Council, AFL-CIO has hired Leah Midgarden as a field organizer to support the labor movement’s political, legislative, and organizing goals across the region.
